Dr. Jason R. Lewis

CEO & Chief Forensic Officer

Dr. Jason R. Lewis is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Forensic Officer of CyForce, a leading cybersecurity and digital forensics firm. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Clemson University and brings more than 15 years of experience in both law enforcement and private practice.

Dr. Lewis began his career in law enforcement with the Georgia Institute of Technology Police Department before joining the Greenwood Village Police Department in Colorado. There, he specialized as a computer crimes investigator and was assigned to the United States Secret Service’s Colorado Electronic Crimes Task Force (CECTF). During his time with the CECTF, he completed the USSS Mobile Forensics Course and became a certified mobile device forensic examiner.

Throughout his career, Dr. Lewis has earned numerous prestigious industry certifications, including:

  • Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME)
  • Cellebrite Advanced Smartphone Analyst (CASA)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – (ISC)²

Dr. Lewis has conducted over 100 forensic examinations and data extractions from a wide range of digital devices, including computers, smartphones, tablets, IoT devices, and cameras. His work has supported both criminal investigations and civil litigation, uncovering vital digital evidence such as deleted files, communication records (SMS, iMessage, voicemails, call logs), system logs, and databases.

An accomplished educator and trainer, Dr. Lewis has taught digital forensics and cybersecurity at several colleges and universities. He has also developed and delivered specialized courses in network, computer, and mobile device forensics. Additionally, he serves as a global instructor for Cellebrite, where he trains law enforcement personnel and private-sector professionals worldwide. He is also a trainer for the Department of Homeland Security’s National Computer Forensics Institute (NCFI), where he assists in training local and state law enforcement professionals in digital forensics.

Dr. Lewis is recognized as an Academy Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and is a Senior Member of the IEEE. He is also an active member of IACIS, ISACA, and other prominent industry organizations.

Timothy Lewis

COO & Forensic Examiner

Mr. Timothy Lewis, directly following graduation from high school in 1998, joined the United States Army as an enlisted military police officer. Upon graduation from basic training, Mr. Lewis volunteered for parachute duty and assignment with the distinguished 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. During his assignment at Fort Bragg, Mr. Lewis quickly rose in rank to become a Junior Non-commissioned Officer serving in various roles and leadership positions involving training, professional development, and mentorship of subordinate soldiers. He deployed overseas in support of both peacekeeping operations within Egypt and South Korea, and combat operations within Afghanistan and Iraq. During these deployments, Mr. Lewis worked with multinational partners and host nations’ military to develop and implement civilian law enforcement programs.

In 2004 Mr. Lewis volunteered to attend the Assessment and Selection Program for the U.S. Army Special Forces. Upon being selected, he attended the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, where he graduated in 2006. He was then assigned to the 3rd Special Forces Group with continued assignment at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Through-out his tenure with Special Forces, spanning 2006 to 2022, Mr. Lewis held multiple Special Operation specialties: Special Forces Weapons Sergeant, Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant, Special Forces Operations Sergeant, and Special Forces Warrant Officer.

Mr. Lewis deployed numerous times overseas to both combat theaters and contested regions in which he trained foreign military forces, led tactical level combat operations, and served in liaison roles within multiservice, multinational, and multigovernmental environments.

Mr. Lewis served in additional duty roles throughout his military career providing organizational functions such as: human resources, budget and accounting, contract development and oversight, knowledge management and information technology, and program manager.

Upon retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer – 3 from the U.S. Army in 2022, after 24 years of service, Mr. Lewis joined CyForce providing his years of experience and expertise in Federal Government interactions and Veteran knowledge.
